Baked Crab
with Oatmeal Topping
Ingredients:
White and dark meat from 2 Crabs
50g /2 oz Butter
3 Sping onions, finely chopped
pinch of mace
pinch cyaenne pepper
150 mls / 4 oz white wine
Splash Worchester sauce
125g / 4oz medium oatmeal
10 anchovey fillets
1 beaten egg
300ml / 10 fl oz double cream.
Method:
Beat egg with
cream
Soften butter
and add to crab.
Mix in the
spices, spring onions and wine.
Add three
quarters of the oatmeal and chopped anchovies.
Put into buttered
dish and sprinkle with the rest of the oatneal.
Spread the
remaining anchovies on top.
Bake in the
oven 190°C / 375°F / Gas mark 5 for 20 Min' until puffed up and brown.
